XOYO
In March 2010 the Ingenious Entertainment VCTs (Ordinary and C Share) invested jointly with Assorted Works Limited in a company promoting events at XOYO, a new venue on Cowper Street in east London.
XOYO is a 900 capacity live entertainment venue, promoting an exciting range of live music, club nights, visual art and other creative media events at a prime location in Shorditch, the hub of London's music, art and party scene. The club, which launched on 17 September 2010 is split over two floors in the style of a New York loft. Appearances have been made by chart stars such as Egyptian Hip Hop, The Ting Tings, Jessie J, No Age, Noah and the Whale, James Blake and Warpaint.
Since its opening, the venue has been extremely popular and cash positive. The partners have been extremely pleased with the progress of the venue and plan to extend daytime activities to include a pop-up gallery space, displaying culturally relevant yet commercially attractive work.
The space has already developed a strong brand within the on-trend youth community of east London and the partners believe a strong foundation has been laid for future years of growth.
