Titans of Cricket
In June 2011, £2 million was invested by the Ingenious Entertainment VCTs (C Share and D Share) in This is Cricket Limited to promote a new sports event, Titans of Cricket, in the autumn of 2011.
Titans of Cricket takes the best of Twenty20, the IPL and World cricket, and combines them in a new show that highlights the skills of some of the world's top cricketing stars both past and present including Freddie Flintoff and Virender Sehwag.
The event builds on some of the oldest rivalries in cricket with four teams (India, Pakistan, Australia and England) competing against each other. Each team comprises of some of the countries' best players both old and new. The teams are scheduled to begin their series of challenges in October 2011, at the MEN Arena in Manchester, the NIA in Birmingham and the O2 in London.
The event has already received a lot of interest in the national media and the Ingenious Entertainment VCTs are very positive about the potential for the brand in the future.
