Investments
The Ingenious Entertainment VCTs invest in the entertainment sector, targeting concerts, festivals, conferences, trade fairs, exhibitions, sporting events, theatrical productions and other entertainment-based content. Examples include the Rewind North Festival and the LED Festival.
Funds raised through the Ingenious Entertainment VCTs' C share offer are currently being invested primarily in the live events sector.
Rewind|
Rewind has been one of the most impressive new investments made by the Ingenious Live and Entertainment VCTs in recent years. Since its launch in 2008, the event has consistently increased its attendance and profitability year on year. Given its success, a second festival was launched in Scotland in 2011 and an Australian license was granted, increasing the growing international presence of the Rewind brand.
XOYO|
XOYO is one of London’s trendiest new clubs in the heart of Shoreditch, the hub of London's music, art and party scene. It books and promotes an exciting range of live music, club nights, visual art and other creative media events. Since its opening in late 2010, the venue has been extremely popular and cash positive. Recent events include performances by chart stars such as Noah and The Whale and The Ting Tings.
Titans of Cricket|
Titans of Cricket takes the best of Twenty20, the IPL and World Cricket and combines them in a new show that highlights the skills of some of the worlds top cricketing stars both past and present, including Freddie Flintoff and Virander Sehwag. The first events are scheduled to take place at the MEN arena in Manchester, the NIA in Birmingham and the O2 in London in October 2011.
LED Festival London|
LED Festival is a collaboration which began in 2010 between the Ingenious Entertainment VCTs and industry leaders AEG Live, Cream and Loudsound. In 2011 over 23,000 people attended the one-day event in Victoria Park, London, which was headlined by leading dance star, Deadmau5. The partners have been extremely pleased with the impact of the brand over its brief life to date and remain very positive about the future of this festival.
Venn Music|
In 2011 Venn Music launched and now runs two new festivals. These innovative events are managed by Venn Director Matt Priest, who was an executive at Radio One for ten years. The first Venn festival, We The People, took place in the centre of Bristol on the 4 and 5 June 2011, while Shakedown Festival is scheduled to take place in Brighton on 17 September 2011. Ingenious is confident that the directors have the experience and contacts to ensure that both festivals are set to become a permanent fixture in the UK festival diary.
SuperVision Media|
SuperVision Media is one of the leading owners and distributors of alternative content for cinemas in both the sport and entertainment fields. Its aim is to provide people with experiences that are the next best thing to being at the event, screening live uninterrupted content, mainly in 3D format, accompanied by surround sound. For example, it secured the exclusive rights to Michael Flatley’s Lord of The Dance in 3D, which was screened in major cinema chains across the US, UK and Europe in March 2011.
